Activated Bleaching Earth

Activated Bleaching Earth is a specially treated natural clay, primarily composed of montmorillonite (a type of smectite clay). It is processed through acid activation to significantly increase its surface area and adsorption capacity, making it highly effective in removing impurities, color pigments, and unwanted components from oils and other liquids.

This highly porous and fine-textured powder is widely used in various industrial processes due to its strong decolorizing, purifying, and stabilizing properties.

Key Uses:

  1. Edible Oil Refining:

    • Removes color pigments, trace metals, peroxides, and phospholipids from crude vegetable oils (e.g., palm, sunflower, soybean, cottonseed).

  2. Animal Fat & Lard Processing:

    • Enhances clarity and stability of fats used in food production.

  3. Mineral Oil & Lubricant Purification:

    • Used in the regeneration of used engine oils, paraffin, and lubricants.

  4. Biodiesel Production:

    • Purifies biodiesel by removing impurities and excess catalysts.

  5. Cosmetics & Pharmaceuticals:

    • Acts as a clarifier and purifier in product formulations.

  6. Waste Oil Treatment:

    • Ideal for recycling used oils in an eco-friendly way.
